So you’ve logged on to facebook and you see a friend clicking LIKE on a post that is a dead ringer for YOUR work!

You’ve gone from naught to 100 in a millisecond.

Your ears are burning, your head is in danger of detaching, and your fingers are typing so fast that you’ll soon be suffering RSI!

Before you hit the send button, or phone your Lawyer, there is one thing you need to do ..  BREATHE.

For all of my career I have experienced such.  A real estate Agent used to copy MY ads.  She had the audacity to tell me that because she published them on a Sunday, as opposed to a Saturday, as I did, that she wasn’t doing anything wrong!

I used to spend the best part of a day making up MY ads,  they were MY words!  She simply couldn’t see the problem.  How dare she!  Who are these people?

Unfortunately I am not alone.  It takes real time and effort to come up with a fantastic concept.  It is awful to see someone steal it and claim it as their own.

“In your facebook” has much to answer for.  If you intend to put it out there, on the worlds largest sharing network, you have to expect that if it’s any good, someone at some point will have a go.  It’s not right, it’s not fair, but there are those  that have no shame.

There is nothing worse than seeing someone steal your ideas.  The good news is it will  NEVER work for them.

Those that rip others off at this basic level are dishonest, untrustworthy and in a nutshell to be avoided .. If this is how they do ‘business’ stay away from theirs!  Ethics and Integrity are everything ..

The general public are very observant.  Find comfort in the fact that copycats are akin to scammers.  It’s as popular as homewrecking and It ‘s totally unaustralian on EVERY level!

Many of our members are starting to experience others replicating their work.

Whilst it hurts,  you need to realise , no matter what they do, they will NEVER be you.

When people act in such a manner, they only  validate that what you have is worth having.  The truth is you can’t beat the original of most things.

Facebook is a small and competitive space.  Those that rip others off have nowhere to hide.

For someone to sink so low, shows you that their moral compass is missing in action or likely to never have existed.

A smart individual would do something different, and do it better.

They would create their own market.  This takes time and effort. Since scammers are usually out for the quick and easy buck, they will never do this.

It’s much easier to simply steal what you have created.

What should you do when you find yourself in this situation? You need to zone out.  Don’t get mad, it will resolve nothing. The  word soon spreads.

Be safe in the knowledge that what they are doing will soon disintegrate.

It has no heart, was built out of jealousy and lacks passion.  In the long term it is simply unsustainable.

Scammers are like junkies and they need constant hits.  They are not in it for the long run.  Their quest is to show you how quick they can duplicate your efforts!  It is IDENTITY THEFT at its best.  Scammers attract other scammers because like attracts like.  Look at who ends up LIKING their posts and you will soon see a pattern emerge.  Birds of a feather flock together!

YOUR idea can never work for someone else.  The Universe won’t allow it!

When they tire that it doesn’t work for them, they will soon be on to their next unsuspecting victim!

These people are like ‘pop up shops’.  Whenever they see a great idea, they steal it, and off they go!  They don’t stay in one spot for too long because people do wake up to them.  A little while later they are back with someone else’s idea.

When it is not your own, you don’t truly love it.  It will never work!

You have a solid brick house, they have a weightless  house of cards!

Just as a car without petrol won’t run, an idea without GENUINE POSITIVE PASSION will stall.   Don’t focus on them.  That is what they want you to do.

They actually feed and NEED your energy to succeed! ..

When you attach such negativity to yourself, your life, your business, you can’t and won’t be  successful.

For those that are at the hands of such unconscionable individuals, just remain true to YOU and what you do.

YOU are YOUnique and YOU will shine through in the end.  Be safe in the knowledge that their own actions will be their own undoing.  In the end, they eat their own!

Copycats soon become copyflats. They fall flat on their faces!  Always remember that competitors aren’t born they are created.

They are so desperate to upset you.  They are the naughty child that wants your attention so give them NONE!

Get on with what you do.  Focus on being a first rate version of yourself.

These days I let it wash over me, and you should too.  Be thankful that you have seen this person naked and what they stand for!

It is actually very embarrassing for THEM!

How it starts is always how it finishes.  If they live by the sword they will most certainly die by it-:)
